Project Name:  Sanford Lane Park
Location: Cherokee, IA
Date: 2002

Description: Parks and Recreation. Sanford Lane Park was the first of two areas designed for Sanford Museum and Planetarium in Cherokee, IA. The Museum, located one block off of Main Street, needed an inviting and accessible walk for visitors who park and shop along Main Street. The vacant, gravel-filled lot was transformed into a green space where visitors could sit and relax or meander to the Museum while enjoying native plantings and stone reflective of the exhibits inside. Work included: Master Plan from Main Street to the entrance of the museum, construction documents and administration.
