Description: Parks and Recreation. Waterway Park was one of three parks in Spencer targeted for improvements by the Neighborhoods for Playgrounds program. Funds raised by neighborhood groups combined with a matching donation from the City exceeded $150,000. This funding went toward new playground equipment and various site improvements. Site amenities and trees will be installed in Spring 2007 through the use of grant money and volunteer help from the community. Work included: Master plan of Waterway Park; design and development of playgrounds, construction documents and planting plans for Waterway, Sunshine and North School Parks. |
